Hanging Tool Cabinet – Glue Up

Wow, it certainly took a long time to reach the point of gluing the cabinet together. Finally all of the planets aligned and with several test fits the glue up began. Admittedly I did not take as much time as usual to prepare and it certainly showed in a couple acts of desperation. Eventually I had all of the parts in place and eased the clamps onto the edges.

Once the glue dried it was time time plane the tenons and smooth out any edges that were not perfect. With the Carcass complete its time to ficus on the back and begin to outfit the cabinet.

The cabinet looks awesome! It sounds as though we use woodworking much in the same way. To clear out minds. In my excitement to finest projects I to would do some desperate things and out cut some corners. It didn’t help with what I was truly trying to accomplish. I learned to slow down and not force the tools. Relax my grip a little concentrate on my technique and the wood. You can hear when the plane or a saw is cutting just right. Things start falling into place and the jobs take less time. I’m not saying you are doing anything wrong, just saying what works for me.
    Thanks for the post!
