Walnut Side Table – Top Cracks
After gluing up the Table Top, rough sawing the circular outline, routing and then chamfering I guess the glue joint on the table decided it had enough.It’s a clean break most of the way down the glue line so I just added a little more glue worked it into the joint and clamped it up. Not a bad problem to solve!

I don’t get it. Why did the glue joint open up? Wood moisture not stable? Starved glue line? Sprung joint?
Update on the way. Accidentally sent the post out before it was complete. Thanks for commenting or I may not have noticed.
The photo does not show a clean break. It isn’t a straight line. The glueline wouldn’t fail by itself unless the glue was bad or not sufficient, if properly cured.
